Still displaced, but thankful

We’ve been back in CA since Tuesday, 11/17.  A lot of work has been done on our place, but mostly of the demolition type.  We have a contractor and have been told that the new sub floor should be in this week.  We decided to do some remodeling while we are at it, so that will be good, when finished.  We are staying at a rental trailer (paid for by insurance) at the trailer park where we live.  So, we are close to do what work that we can and to supervise the plumbers, carpenters, etc.  Also, able to visit with friends.  They have been so wonderful and helpful.  Yesterday, for Thanksgiving we were with 5 very good friends at Sharon’s house and we all pitched in.  It was a good day.  We hope that all of you had a great day with family and/or friends.  Our daughter Jina hosted 15 (in-law) family members and overcame the tragedy of a malfunctioning oven with imagination and perseverance.  Congrats to her and Steve and the kids. (P.S., we probably won’t be in our home until Christmas, if that soon.)
