La Plata

Went someplace new today, La Plata.  It is part of greater Buenos Aires and a beautiful planned city with cathedral and palaces from the 1800’s.  Many plazas and parks and all arranged with numbered streets and diagonals.  After some research, we found the best way to travel there was by commercial bus from the main bus station.  It was $5 each round trip and took 1 hr. 40 min. for 35 miles.  (We found a closer stop coming back).  I have added photos to the album from there:  Largest Cathedral, palaces and parks.  We walked over 3 miles today, Jim was hurting more, but managed with a few rest stops.  Beautiful day, high 70’s and sunshine.  Spring is here in Argentina.
