Glory Ports of Call

We were on the Glory for 2 weeks, “back to back.” The first week was the Eastern Caribbean: Nassau, St. Thomas, San Juan, (Puerto Rico) and Grand Turks. We always enjoy St. Thomas and PR and Grand Turks was new to us. We were not impressed, although we spent a couple of fun hours with crew friends. The food was almost as expensive as USA and the drinks were more.
Last week we went to the Western Caribbean: Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, (Honduras) and Grand Cayman. On Cozumel, we rented a car and Boonthip and Lhito went with us to the back side of the island. Roatan, again was new to us and we did like it. Jim had hired a private tour guide who took us around for 5.5 hours. JoAnn was a local with a very delightful Caribbean “sing-song” accent. She was short like Cheryl and Boonthip and very light skinned (mostly British genes). The island reminded us all of Thailand, Philippines and Hawaii. It is supposedly the best place in Honduras to visit. It was nice to visit ports other than the Mexican Riviera!
