Romantic Road, Germany

Monday, we took the Munich metro system and spent some time in the beautiful English Garden (Englishergarten). We remember it from 1989 and it is still just as serene and green!
Yesterday, May 7, we picked up our Avis rental car at the Munich airport (taxi and S-Bahn to get there). The manager waited on us and since they were out of the mid-sized car that we had reserved, she upgraded us to a very nice Hyundai i40 with many deluxe features, including builtin navigation system for no charge. It certainly came in handy. We even used it to find our hotel, here in Gersthoven.
It was a little difficult to find the correct highway for the Romantic Road, and it is not always well marked, but we still saw some beautiful old towns, including this one. However, since I was having to deal with the GPS and signs, etc., didn’t get many pictures!
I had a fever (101o) for 2 days, but it broke, night before last and I am feeling stronger. Jim is still coughing a lot, but no fever; may be related to his asthma, also. So, we decided to stay at this hotel for 2 nights. We are paying around $115 per night but it as full suite and large deck, so very nice with breakfast included and wifi (but in the hall!).
