More from Buenos Aires

It’s been a very busy week in Argentina. We’ve been to a few more areas of Buenos Aires: Puerto Madero, shopping in Once and La Boca (the mouth of the river and starting place for the Tango); spent a day at an Estancia or ranch in the Pampas area north of the city and today we went to the delta area and town of El Tigre. We have been there by light rail train 3 other times. Today, however, since it was very crowded due to the Carnival time, we did not ride the water taxi system. We thought that we would not be able to take a boat ride at all, but Craig thought that we could find a private boat. And we did! A friendly man who lives there but is from Kentucky spoke with us in English and arranged that the driver he uses would come back and give us a one hour ride in his little motor boat. He did return and the charge was $30 USD for 6 of us (another couple from CA who Jim met through Cruise Critic joined us). It was a lovely ride in the smaller water ways. So far, we have had great weather, 70’s and mostly sun. We may have some rain in the next 2 days. We have spent quite a bit of time with our young friend from 5 years ago, Alejandra. She is such a lovely person in so many ways. Our time here is winding down, Thursday we get on the Cruise ship.
