On Thursday, the 2nd, we got off the Carnival Imagination in Long Beach,
after 11 days and 3 cruises in a row. The first and third ones were 4 days and included Catalina Island
and Ensenada, MX. On the first one, our good friends and neighbors, Maddy and Jon cruised with us. We all enjoyed it and got to know our wait staff, in YTD dining room. Maddy and Cheryl danced with Amy, our waiter for the “Celebrate” song.
The ship was quite colorful and festive.
On the 2nd cruise, which was 3 days, there were a lot of young partiers, there to drink and stay up for 72 hours; no wonder it was called the “Booze Cruise.” Fun to watch the “eye-candy”, but didn’t enjoy them in the halls at 3:30 a.m. or “vomit” on the carpet. Sorry to be so graphic. Probably won’t do that one again!
As usual, the Carnival crew and staff were all friendly and accommodating. We met the Captain and senior officers at a cocktail party for “Diamond” cruisers (we were the only 2). Nice to talk with them and we were given a picture with us and them. When we came back on the ship for the back to back cruises, we were given a cocktail and a bottle of champagne in our cabin. Our Cabin Steward, Nanang, was the best and went out of his way to give us what we needed.
Especially enjoyed the Piano Bar player/singer, Dan. He could really tickle the ivories and knew all the songs, with no written music; all by heart.
On two of the three days that we docked in Ensenada, we went to our favorite seafood restaurant, Mariscos Bahia Ensenada. We took Jon and Maddy on the first cruise and Amy, our waitress, on the last cruise. She really enjoyed it and said she would share with her crew friends.
We have already emailed with Amy and sent her pictures; will try to see her when her contract is ended. She is a very mature, sweet and smart lady.
